Waterval Country Lodge has been operating since 1994 and is set at the foot of the Obiqua mountains overlooking the Witzenberg valley, surrounded by nature. The lodge offers a true family breakaway, with access to hiking trails, the magnificent Tulbagh Mountain biking trails, organised activities for the kids, picnics and much more. The historical town of Tulbagh is only 8 km away, with award winning wines and olive oils, all within a 10-minute drive.
Accommodation is offered in a 4-bedroom self-catering lodge, and 2 stunning garden-facing rooms offering bed and breakfast. All rooms are comfortable, stylish en-suite units and offer air-conditioning, king-size beds, linen and towels. Guests have access to all the property has to offer including picnics baskets by arrangement, hikes, kids activities, swimming pool and much more.

Waterval is a magical venue to host your dream day. We have a multitude of sites so that you can create the unique wedding experience you have been looking for. Whether you choose our Garden, Waterfall Deck, Forest, Lapa or Boma areas, you will not be disappointed.
Waterval also has an array of accommodation for your wedding guests, allowing them to stay on for your celebration. We have 36 units in total and 24 of these are ideal for families.
The Garden-facing rooms are stylish, free-standing en-suite units separate from the main lodge. Each unit has a king-size bed, that can be converted to 2 single beds, and a shower en suite. 2 additional singles can be arranged for children. Breakfast can be arranged at the main dining room and braai facilities are available to guests.
The Guinea Fowl Lodge is a self-catering lodge rented exclusively to 1 group at a time. The lodge can accommodate up to 8 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a kitchen facility, braai area, and entertainment room. Each bedroom is air-conditioned and contains a king-size bed or 2 single beds, and a shower en suite with a toilet and washbasin. The kitchen is well-equipped with a fridge, stove and microwave. The lodge offers a pool table, leather chairs and a flat-screen TV with full DStv.
